What happens when a body has been disappeared? What artistic and ethic discourse can construct a work of contemporary dance facing this problem that affects our manner of being in life?
A disappeared body is an absence and at the same time a presence that accompanies us in our daily life, by the tension caused by expectation of its apparition, caused by the tension of imagining where could it be, by the latency of standing by. Our imagination / memory/ sensation of that body that isn’t present, gives presence to it, and this at the same time constructs a physicality. We give body to absence. The center of this investigation sustains that a disappeared body implies and compromises the present bodies of a society, is a resistance against the body being consumed by the passing of time, indifference or apathy.
TRICK is a result of an international collaboration between the Mexican creator Olga Gutiérrez and the Argentine creator Lucía Disalvo.
The creation process for this work was done in three stages: October 2015 and February 2016 in the city of Guadalajara (Mexico) with the support of the institutions Torres Bodet Theater, Jalisco’s Experimental Theater and de Contemporary Art Museum MURA. The third stage was between November and December 2016 in Buenos Aires (Argentina) counting with the coproduction of the Müller Café, PRODANZA’s subsidy for creation and the collaboration of the Venue and Cultural Center Sábato.

TRUCO
¿Qué sucede cuando un cuerpo es desaparecido? ¿Qué discurso artístico y ético puede construir una obra de danza contemporánea frente a ésta problemática que afecta nuestra manera de estar en la vida?
El cuerpo desaparecido es una ausencia y al mismo tiempo una presencia que nos acompaña en nuestro cotidiano, por la tensión en la espera de su aparición, por la tensión en imaginar dónde estará, por la latencia de la espera. Nuestra imaginación/ recuerdo/ sensación de ese cuerpo que no está, le da presencia y esto en sí mismo, construye una corporalidad. Le damos cuerpo a la ausencia. El centro de ésta investigación sostiene que un cuerpo desaparecido implica y compromete a los cuerpos presentes en una sociedad, es una resistencia a que el cuerpo desaparecido sea consumido por el paso del tiempo, el desinterés o la apatía.
TRUCO es resultado de una colaboración internacional entre la creadora mexicana Olga Gutiérrez y la creadora argentina Lucía Disalvo.
El proceso de creación de esta obra se realizó en tres etapas: octubre 2015 y febrero 2016 en la ciudad de Guadalajara (México) con el apoyo de las instituciones Teatro Torres Bodet, Teatro Experimental de Jalisco y Museo de Arte Contemporáneo MURA. La tercera etapa fue entre noviembre y diciembre 2016 en Buenos Aires (Argentina) contando con la coproducción de Café Müller, el subsidio para creación de PRODANZA y la colaboración de La Sede y Centro Cultural Sábato.
